Smiling Places – Guest House in Labruge

It is a charming Guest House situated in the quiet town of Labruge, 400 metres from the beach, within walking distance of the airport (only 12 kms) and 20 km from the cosmopolitan city of Porto.

In this Guest House we have created a concept of Slow Tourism, thought for your well-being, without confusion or crowds. With only 4 rooms, it aims to be a place that allows you to slow down and provide authentic moments, with local people, of traditions linked to the sea and land, simple people, who like and know how to receive without mischaracterizing the essence and natural charm of this locality.

We like to travel, accumulate various experiences, select what we like the most and think in every detail, expectating that your experience will be memorable and feel like you're at a friend's house.

About Labruge

Many find Labruge in his Way of Saint James, by the Portuguese of the Coast, on a path of faith or self-knowledge. And so it is a place where many experiences are shared at the end of the day, resting accompanied by the sunset or the sound of birds. It is a place where beautiful human beings pass by, which nothing else expects that life becomes a good walk for everyone.

Others find in Labruge a break or a holiday destination with sun, natural beaches and hiking trails with a landscape that cause silence in the most restless mind. The local gastronomy, based on the quality of fresh fish that comes out every day from its beaches, is itself a destination. In the fishing villages of Angeiras or Vila Chã, very early fishermen launch their boats, with the purpose of getting to the local restaurants the most fresh fish.

Labruge, for its proximity in distance, is also sought to join a visit of the bustling and cosmopolitan city of Porto with the tranquility of the countryside and the sea. The city of Porto is mysterious and charming, with much to live and enjoy... but it feels so good to return to calm at the end of that experience. In this region of Portugal, we love to talk, to hear and tell stories, but we also know how to understand very well when someone does not want to talk ... We know how to spoil, but mostly respect.

There are also those who come to us to finish their day of work in harmony, after a busy day of meetings, purpose of a work trip. More and more families are trying to reconcile work and time together (tourism Bleisure - Business and Leisure). Some extend their stay and enjoy the family weekend; others travel alone, but prefer to end the day on the balcony, to see the sea, than in a more closed room of a city hotel. The proximity of Porto Airport allows this option and in all rooms, or common spaces, if you prefer, we have the necessary conditions to remote work.
